Chugoku Brewery, which has long been well known in Hiroshima as a comprehensive liquor manufacturer, including the first company in Japan to sell sake, shochu, and mirin in paper carton containers, is launching a new company to commemorate its 100th anniversary.
In 2021, the company will change its name to “Sakurao Brewery and Distillery Co., Ltd.” and develop not only its gin and whiskey business, but also a whiskey theme park with a distillery attached.
