YOIYO’s distillery collaboration products sake chocolate and sake terrine will be on sale. Sales will begin on January 23, 10:00 a.m. at the official online store!
1. What is “YOIYO”?

“YOIYO” is a [Japanese craft sake chocolate] sold by Lotte Corporation, a chocolate containing alcohol like a so-called whisky bonbon. The main ingredient is Japanese whisky, and the greatness, persistence, and thoughts of the maker of the alcohol and the maker of the chocolate are packed into a single piece of chocolate.
The package design of each product is fashionable, printed with the regional scenery of each distillery and the distiller.

Compared to previous Akkeshi whiskies, I got the impression that this was a serious whisky with a subtle blend of mild peat and a hint of citrus flavor. I am always serious, but I responded by blending a few percent more finely on the chocolate side as well.

3. 15th YOIYO Terrine <Akkkeshi Distillery> Whisky Hakuro

I was surprised when Mr. Tatsuzaki suggested adding walnuts.
Since we were using precious whisky, we tried to avoid adding anything unnecessary, but I think it turned out very nice, enhancing both the sake and the terrine.We also repeated prototyping the orange juice mixture in several percent increments, while watching the balance with the dough.
