6. Products from Gaia Flow Shizuoka Distillery

Here are the official bottles released by Gaia Flow Shizuoka Distillery.

6-1. Single Malt Whisky Shizuoka Prologue K

Made with over 50% Japanese barley malt and vatted with malted barley from the UK and Canada. It is characterized by a woody taste with a light peaty aroma and a pleasant aftertaste.

6-2. Single Malt Whisky Shizuoka Prologue W

W is the nickname for the one and only wood-fired direct distillation machine. It has a youthful, yet gentle aroma from three years of maturation, a thick taste unique to wood-fired distillation, a firm body, a light smokiness, and a long, gentle finish.

6-3. Single Malt Whisky Shizuoka Contact S

The Shizuoka distillery used two first distillation units, K (moved from the Karuizawa distillery) and W (direct wood-fired distillation), to blend both types of raw materials with different characteristics for the first time.
The steam-heated K has a fruity aroma and light flavor, while the wood-fired W gives a heavier taste and a longer finish.
