Established in 1883, shochu maker Komasa Jozo opened in 2017. The company's capital participation with the British major Diageo attracted a great deal of attention, and under the motto of "world-class whiskey that utilizes the tradition and knowledge of shochu making," the company is developing products full of originality, including the use of its own shochu barrels.
