Ltd. to make it possible to enjoy the peat even more. The previous first-order sales on Friday, June 23 were sold out immediately after the 12:30 p.m. start of the sales period. This time, “The Ultimate Peat Glass Special Edition” will be available for pre-order from 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, but a battle is expected to ensue.
1. What is “The Ultimate Peat Glass”?
ーTrue original glass made from a new shapeー
Unlike original glasses that simply have the logo on an existing glass, this shape was arrived at after testing dozens of different glasses to see how the aroma and taste would be perceived. Since even the slightest difference in the shape of the glass can drastically change the aroma and taste, we pursued a shape that would convey the flavors of the “Mastering Peat” Saburomaru Distillery whisky in a straightforward manner.ーOnly one artisan makes The Ultimate Peat Glassー
They are made with a commitment to handmade by craftsmen, with a desire to pass on Japan’s wonderful technology to future generations. The glasses are made by hand by glass artisans in Tokyo and sandblasted in Toyama Prefecture.ーAttention to detailー
The glass has been tried and tested down to the smallest details, including the shape of the glass, the distance between the nose and the liquid surface and of course the flavour, the functionality of the glass, such as the length of the foot and the size of the base, as well as the texture and satisfaction when you pick it up and the beauty when it is displayed.
We hope you will enjoy drinking from these special glasses.Glass size: Diameter (mouth) 48 mm x height 155 mm
