Single Malt Nagahama THE THIRD BATCH has arrived from Nagahama Distillery, owned by Nagahama Roman Beer, after a seven-month absence, with FIRST BATCH released in 2022 and SECOND BATCH in May 2011. The key malts this time are both peat-type bourbon barrel aged and Islay Quarter barrel aged. 11,000 yen (tax included).

Four different types of aged spirits, including Oloroso sherry casks, KOVAL whisky casks, Islay quarter casks, and bourbon quarter casks from the 2019 distillation, are carefully vatted using the techniques and experience cultivated at "AMAHAGAN".

Japanese Whisky Single Malt Nagahama The First Batch. It is made from bourbon, sherry, and iraq quarter barrels distilled between 2017 and 2019, as well as raw wine aged in Quercus barrels.

The aroma is fresh and fruity, reminiscent of grapefruit, with refreshing accents of herbs and mint. Peaty notes reminiscent of seaside sea air appear on the nose. The palate is very smooth, with ripe red apple, dried fruit, and berry accents behind the fresh orange. Pleasant tannins from the oak.

The product name "BEAUTIFUL" is the title of the song of the first single under the name "Kazuya Yoshii". This is a whiskey that delicately expresses the peaty bitterness and sweetness of a mature man who has overcome suffering and sorrow. The smoky accent from the peaty raw material mixes with the richness of the sherry cask to create a more profound taste.

Kazuya Yoshii himself was involved in setting the taste theme, blending, tasting, and selecting the barrels. This is a world blended whisky, blending malt whisky from Nagahama distillery with malt whisky and grain whisky from overseas. It will be released on Thursday, August 19, the 50th anniversary of his father's death.

The blend recipe was created by adding non-peated malt raw materials distilled at the Nagahama Distillery, peated malt raw materials distilled at the Saburoumaru Distillery, and carefully selected malt raw materials from overseas to create an "extra" flavor that complements and enhances each other. The AMAHAGAN blended malt series was created with a focus on blending, the most important step in whisky making, in preparation for future single malt releases. This whisky is based on Edition No.1 and is one that challenges finished by utilizing the character of red wine.
