This year, 2023, marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Japanese whisky! So, as a review of the ever-increasing number of Japanese whisky distilleries, we would like to present “The Latest Trends in Japanese Whisky (Part 1): A Review of Whisky Distilleries in Japan”.

The concept of this website was to introduce whisky to people who have been interested in “bars” and “Japanese whisky,” but have been reluctant to approach them.

 

We hope that it will be an opportunity to go to BAR and learn more about Japanese whisky, not only for connoisseurs who are familiar with Japanese whisky, but also for beginners who want to learn about whisky and Japanese whisky from scratch, and that it will be of interest to as many people as possible. The year 2023 is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Japanese whisky.
The history of Japanese whisky making started when Suntory Yamazaki Distillery started operation in 1923. We will review once again the passion and commitment to whisky making by Shinjiro Torii, Masataka Taketsuru, Kiichiro Iwai, Kihei Abe, and others.
